Christmas Evil

Ho Ho No! Christmas Evil promises to be a Santa Slasher along the lines of Silent Night, Deadly Night.  But that is definately not what this movie is. It more resembles Taxi Driver than Silent Night, Deadly Night. And even that is a stretch.
The idea is that a man is obsessed with Santa, so much so that he slit his wrists with a broken snow globe when he saw his mommy kissing Santa as a kid. As an adult he stalks children in his neighborhood, making a list of who is naughty and nice. He works at a toy factory where he gets picked on by his coworkers, a lot. Then one foggy Christimas Eve, he steals a bunch of Toys from the factory and naughty children, he kills some people who slighted him, goes to a Christmas party. The end is really just a mess and I’ll let you watch it for yourself.
This movie sucks. It moves slower than molasses. It takes forever for anything to happen. The performances are so average they are hardly worth mentioning. There really isn’t much of a story. It’s more episodic than anything. There is no story arc. Just one thing slowly leading to another with no real climax or resolution. The characters aren’t very interesting. There are a couple decent moments of tension but when you think about it, they are cheap moments that use children as props. The visuals of the movie are also so average they don’t warrent discussion. If you want to laugh at a bad Santa slasher, go find Santa’s Slay starring pro wrestler Bill Goldberg. I really can’t recommend this movie as anything more than a sleep aid.
This movie was on You Tube and Hulu but it has disappeared. Still, I watched it over there so I’m putting up the review anyway.
